Mobile Home Fire In Kentwood - Dover

On February 11, 2011 at 1157, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a working trailer fire at 7 Kentwood Drive. E4, under the direction of Deputy Chief West, was first on scene and found smoke showing from the roof area of a 14’ x 70’ mobile home. E4’s crew made forcible entry and advanced a 1-3/4” attack line into the residence. Once crews were inside they experienced fire conditions in the kitchen. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and performed ventilation and overhaul. Both primary and secondary searched proved negative. The fire was contained to the room of origin. The Red Cross was contacted for an elderly male, displaced by the incident. The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
