Working House Fire - Capital Park, Dover

On August 19, 2011 at 1301, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to 255 S. Governors Blvd for a working house fire. E4, under the direction of Capt. Hall, was first on scene and found fire showing from the “C” side of a 1-story single family dwelling. E4 secured a water source and advanced an 1-3/4” attack line through the front door of the residence. Crews found two rooms fully involved. E41-6 arrived on scene and advanced a second 1-3/4” attack line to assist with fire attack. L2 arrived on scene, laddered the structure and performed vertical ventilation. Additional crews arrived on scene and secured utilities and assisted in overhaul and salvage. Primary and secondary searches proved negative. The fire is currently under investigation by the State FMO.
