Working House Fire - Dover

On October 27, 2011 at 2125, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to 726 Slaughter St. for a working house fire. E4 under the direction of Asst Chief Carey was first on scene and found fire showing from the Alpha side of a 2-story single family dwelling. E4 secured a water source and advanced an 1-3/4” attack line through the front door of the residence. Crews found two rooms fully involved. L1 arrived on scene and performed horizontal ventilation on all four sides of the structure. Additional crews arrived on scene and performed search and rescue and overhaul. The fire is currently under investigation by the City of Dover FMO.
