Working House Fire - N. Governors Blvd

On November 07, 2012 at 0416, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a working house fire at 185 N. Governors Blvd. E4, under the direction of Chief Fortney, was first on scene and found a single story, single family dwelling with a heavy fire condition and fire venting through the roof. E4 established a water supply and advanced a 1-3/4” attack line up to the front door. E3’s crew came on scene and advanced the attack line into the residence. L2 arrived on scene and secured utilities and advanced a 2-1/2” attack line into the front door. Aggressive interior attacks prevented further spread of the fire. E54-4 arrived and established the RIT and E41-1 assisted with suppression. Two civilians were transported to the local Trauma Center with burns and smoke inhalation. One firefighter was transported. The crews the search and rescue was complete with negative findings. The fire is being investigated by the State FMO.
