On Saturday December 1, 2012, the Dover Fire Department played the Clayton VFC in the 5th Annual Toys for Tots charity football game. The event was held at the Smyrna High School football field. The Smyrna VFC Marching Band played the National Anthem and provided entertainment during the game as well as a half-time show. The event was a great success and amassed boxes of toys for needy children. The Clayton VFC remains undefeated, narrowly squeaking out a victory. The final score was CVFC 69 – DFD 22!! A great time was had by all. We thank the Clayton VFC for inviting us to play and the post game hospitality at their fire house.
