2nd Working Fire In 6 Hours - S. State Street

On April 6, 2013, at 1542, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a working fire at 20 S. State Street. E4, under the direction of RW Rhodes, was first on scene to find a two-half story, multi-family residence with smoke showing from the ā€œCā€ side roof area. E4 secured a water source, and advanced a 1-3/4ā€ attack line through the front door of the residence to the attic area. Chief West arrived on scene and assumed Command. E7 arrived on scene and assisted with suppression. L1 and E41-1 arrived on scene and ventilated the roof. Subsequent arriving units performed search and rescue and assisted with overhaul. The fire was extinguished and contained to the attic area with water damage suffered throughout the house. The fire is being investigated by the City FMO.
