Electrial Fire - Bay Rd.

On July 11, 2013 at 1114, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a possible electrical fire at the rear of the vacant Value City complex on Bay Rd. Asst. Chief Hall was first on scene in the duty officer vehicle to find an active fire on the “C” side of a one-story, big box, commercial structure. The exterior utility shed, where the electrical utilities entered the building was on fire. E2 and L2 arrived on scene. The fire had burnt itself out prior to their arrival. E2’s crew checked for extension inside as L2 placed their aerial in service to the roof to check for extension. E4 arrived on scene and was directed to the “A” side and given the task of checking for extension on division 2 interior. All units reported no extension and the scene was turned over to the City FMO and the Electric Department. Units on Scene: Car 2: Asst.
