MVC with Entrapment

On August 01, 2013 at 0908 hrs., the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Saulsbury Rd. and Forrest Ave. Duty Officer Asst Chief Reeder was first on location in the Command Car to find a subject trapped in the passenger side of a vehicle that had suffered a lateral impact to the passenger side. E2 was first on scene and was directed to stabilize the vehicle and remove the passenger side doors. E4 arrived on scene next and was directed to place a second set of Holmotro tools in operation. The passenger side door were removed, along with the “B” post. The patient was uneventfully removed to a long spine board and transported to the local Trauma Center. The incident is being investigated by the Dover Police Department.
