On April 12, 2013, during the State wide open house, the Dover Fire Department was called into action to the report of a working house fire at 6 Chatham Ct. Chief Carey was first to arrive on scene to find a 2 1/2-story, single-family dwelling with smoke showing from the deck area on the charlie side. L1 was first to arrive and made an aggressive attack containing the fire to the deck area. E6 arrived and was directed to the interior for a primary and secondary search which both proved negative. E7 arrived and the crew checked for extension. The scene was placed under control and turned over to the city Fire Marshal for investigation.
