Working Fire

On April 19, 2014 at 1502 the Dover Fire Department began receiving calls for a working building fire at 216 South St. Chief Carey was first on location to find a 2-story auto body shop with fire showing from the roof area. E6 arrived on scene, established a water supply and stretched an 1-3/4" attack line through the Alpha side bay door. E6's crew made an aggressive interior attack and confined the fire to a paint room and the roof area above it. L1's crew assisted with suppressing the fire on the roof and checking for extension. E2, E4 and L2's crew all assisted with checking for extension and overhaul. DNREC 4 responded to secure the chemicals inside the shop. There were no injuries reported and the scene was turned over to FM3. Cover ups were provided by Station 43, and Station 54.
