Emergency Dial 9-1-1
Squad 1, Ladder 1, Tower Ladder 54 and the Department of Natural Resources responded to a hazardous materials incident on S. Little Creek Road. On arrival crews found a 1000 gallon propane tank leaking, after a valve had been struck and broken off the tank. The adjacent building was evacuated for safety precautions. Crews stood by while DNREC prepared an elevated torch to burn off the remainder of the gas. There were no safety concerns for the public in the area.
