Emergency Dial 9-1-1
On July 2, 2011 at 1223, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to the northbound lanes on State Route 1 for a MVC rollover, just north of Exit 98. While units were en route, Little Creek VFC Chief Bundek went on location in his POV and confirmed no entrapment. Deputy Chief West reduced the response to a single engine. E4 arrived on scene to find a SUV and trailer overturned in the lanes of traffic. Kent County Department of Public Safety Paramedics and BLS unit A-63 were attending to patients. Power sources were isolated to the SUV and trailer and a small amount of sanitation fluids were washed from the roadway. Patients were transported to the local Emergency Department and a single lane of traffic was re-opened. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.
