Emergency Dial 9-1-1
On July 8, 2011 at 1058, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to 344 Red Tail Drive for an automobile fire. E7 was first to respond under the direction of Deputy Chief West. While en route, DFD Dispatch advised that a second call related an exposure to the garage area of the residence. Deputy Chief West promptly upgraded the call to a full structural response. Upon arrival, crews found a pick-up truck just outside of the garage fully involved with heat exposure to the residence. A quick knock down by the crew prevented any extension into the residence. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office for investigation. Units on scene: Dover E7, E6, Ladder L2 Delaware State FMO: FM12
