Smoke Condition in Commercial Structure - N. Dupont Hwy

On October 10, 2011 at 1106 hrs, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to smoke in a commercial structure. E6, under the command of Capt. Hall was first on scene to find a one-story mercantile, middle of the row, with a smoke condition in the interior. L1 arrived on scene and was directed to place the aerial to the roof. Crews investigated HVAC units on the roof and found one to be malfunctioning. Power was cut to the equipment as well as the business. Mechanical ventilation was utilized to clear the smoke condition. The scene was turned over to the Dover City FMO. Units on Scene: Dover Engine 6, Ladder 1, Brush 9
