Emergency Dial 9-1-1
On December 13, 2011 at 0442, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a motor vehicle collision (MVC) with a subject trapped at 4568 Forrest Ave. Delaware State Police (DSP) were on scene with a vehicle that swerved to avoid a deer and ran off the road striking a tree. DSP reported one priority 1 patient entrapped. Dover E2 arrived first on scene and passed Command to the Fire Chief incoming on E6. Crews stabilized the vehicle and flapped the roof to gain access to the entrapped subject. The patient was removed and subsequently transported to the local Trauma Center for evaluation. The accident is under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
