Working House Fire - Boggs Drive

On March 30, 2013, at 2057, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a working fire at 972 Boggs Drive. Chief West was first on scene to find a single-story, single family residence with heavy smoke showing. Chief West advised incoming units it appeared to be a basement fire. E4 was the first engine on scene, secured a water source, and advanced a 1-3/4” attack line through the front door of the residence, making their way to the basement. E7 and L1 arrived on scene and opened the roof and advanced a second 1-3/4” attack line to the “D side. E6 and L2 arrived on scene and secured power and assisted with suppression. Interior crews performed primary and secondary searches of the residence with negative results. The fire was extinguished and contained to the basement, with heavy smoke damage throughout. The fire is being investigated by the City FMO.
