MVC with Subject Trapped

On October 2, 2013 at 2147, the Dover Fire Department was alerted for a single car motor vehicle collision with one subject trapped at 1559 Forrest Ave. Deputy Chief M. Carey was first on scene in the Duty Officer vehicle to find a vehicle that had struck a utility pole with one subject heavily entrapped inside. City of Dover BLS unit B63 arrived on scene and entered the vehicle to begin patient care. E2 arrived on scene, stabilized the vehicle and began extricating the subject. E4 arrived on scene and was given the task of removing the dash. R1 arrived on scene and assisted with extrication efforts. One subject was removed from the vehicle and transported to the local Trauma Center. The scene was turned over to Dover PD for investigation.
