On April 12, 2014, shortly after clearing a house fire, the Dover Fire Department was redirected to a serious MVC involving a motorcycle near 1016 Wyoming Mill Rd. Chief Carey was first to arrive and advised one motorcycle off the roadway and into a small wooded area. E6 and E7 arrived and assisted with patient care. The subject was transported to the local trauma center where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. All units cleared and the scene was turned over to Delaware State Police Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team.
