Control Burn - West Denneys Rd, Dover
December 11, 2010
The DFD, with the help of the surrounding mutual aide Companies, performed the controlled burn of a circa 1800’s, Amish farm house. This provided a great training opportunity for all who participated. Crews were able to establish and maintain a water shuttle that provided the aerial (Ladder 2) with over 33,750 gallons of water, an uninterrupted flow of 750 gpm for 45 minutes. The water supply was 2 miles from the fire grounds. Many thanks go out to our neighboring Companies for taking the time to train with us.
