This morning at 12:45am, Engine 1 and Tower 2 were dispatched for an odor of smoke in the residence. On arrival Engine 1 found a 2 story Duplex with smoke showing from the attic. The call was upgraded to a full first alarm assignment. Crews advanced an 1-3/4 hand-line to the attic and quickly extinguished the fire. A total of two lines were in service and all searches were negative. Units remained on scene for approximately 2 hours. The City Fire Marshals Office is investigating.
