At approximately 1pm, units were dispatched to a working building fire at 47 S. West Street. Upon arrival, crews observed smoke showing from the Delta side of the structure. Entry was made and firefighters located an active fire in the ceiling area. Crews extinguished the fire quickly and a thorough search of the building was conducted with negative findings for any occupants. The scene was turned over to the City of Dover Fire Marshal's Office for investigation. One firefighter was transported to Bayhealth for evaluation and treatment with heat exhaustion.
