On the morning of July 30th, the Dover Fire Department along with EMS units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North DuPont Highway & Scarborough Road for a overturned concrete truck. Upon arrival, crews found a single patient who was treated by Kent County Paramedics and Ambulance 64. The individual was promptly transported to a local medical facility. Crews also worked quickly to contain leaking fluids from the concrete truck until the Delaware Department of Natural Resources Eviromental Control Unit arrived on scene. Crews remained onscene for approximately 40 minutes at which time the scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police.
