Last night, the DFD bid farewell to Greg Parsell. Greg has spent the last 24.6 years as a City of Dover, Senior Fire Dispatcher, assigned to the DFD. He has truly been the calm voice in the storm. We will sorely miss his dedication to the Department and meticulous attention to detail. Our apparatus will never look the same without his beloved rejuvenator and elbow grease. Greg was old school in everything he did. He always strived to stay two steps ahead of you, especially during times of alarms. We will miss his dry sense of humor, hunting stories from Potter County and weather updates. Greg always took the time around the station to ensure everything was just right. Whether it be the Service Flags outside, the pride he took in the flower beds or ensuring the station was appropriately decorated for the holidays. Enjoy your retirement Greg. You always have a place at the “Liar’s Table”, don’t be a stranger.
