On Sunday, January 21st at approximately 10:35pm, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 56 Par Haven Dr, Building G, Brandywine Court Condominiums. On arrival, the fire department had smoke showing from a first-floor apartment with multiple occupants trapped in the building. Firefighters assisted 1 subject from a first-floor window upon arrival, a second victim was located and removed from the second-floor stairwell, a third victim was removed from a second-floor balcony and a fourth victim was located and removed from a third-floor apartment shortly after arrival. A total of 4 victims were removed from the building, 3 of which were transported by EMS to Bayhealth Kent for smoke inhalation and other injuries. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and the scene was placed under control at 11:17pm. Units remained on scene for approximately 3 1/2 hours. A total of 12 units were condemned displacing 28 people. The City of Dover Emergency Services Coordinator was called in to assist with the individuals who were displaced through Red Cross. The City of Dover Fire Marshal's Office is conducting the investigation. Units responding: Dover Engine 1, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, engine 41, Squad 41, Engine and ladder 43.
