This past Thursday and Friday Volunteers of the Dover Fire Department took part in community outreach events. On Thursday evening members went door to door distributing “after the fire” flyers in the Sherwood section of the city where the DFD responded to a house fire the week before. The flyers included tips on how to prevent fires and what to do in the event of a fire. On Friday members participated in Career Day South Dover Elementary School . Students learned about being a Firefighter and how their education can be used towards Fire and Rescue operations.
