MVC with Heavy Entrapment - Forrest Ave

On March 14, 2011 at 0046, the Dover Fire Department was dispatched for a motor vehicle collision (MVC) with a subject trapped on Forrest Ave. Dover E2, under the direction of Asst Chief Simmons, was first on scene and found a single vehicle, off the roadway, into a tree with a subject heavily entrapped. Crews quickly stabilized the vehicle and removed the doors and roof in an attempt to expose the subject. The driver appeared to have been unrestrained and was wedged under the dash. An extended operation ensued to remove the subject from the vehicle. After the dash had been displaced, the subject was extricated and transported to the local Emergency Department.
