Rollover with Subject Trapped

Thursday, July 2, 2015

On August 28, 2014 at 1434, the Dover Fire Department was alerted for a rollover MVC with one subject trapped at Bay Rd. and W. Lebannon Rd. E4, under the direction of Deputy Chief Hall, was first on scene to find a vehicle on it's passenger side with a single subject trapped inside the vehicle. DC Hall requested the DAFB Fire Dept. to respond with their rescue truck. E4's crew began extrication as the DAFB rescue unit arrived and finished stabilizing the vehicle. E3 arrived on scene and assisted with extrication and patient care. R1 arrived on scene and set up a LZ for the inbound State Police aviation unit. The patient was extricated and taken into the waiting ambulance for evaluation. It was determined that the patient was too unstable to be flown and was transported by ground to the local trauma center. The situation was placed under control and handed over to the State Police for investigation. We would like to thank the DAFB Fire Department for their assistance. It was good to work together again on scene.
